Onboarding Friction with Smaller Acquirers

Anyone else finding the KYB process with smaller or newer payment acquirers to be a bit of a nightmare lately? The documentation requests seem to grow exponentially, often for details that established players never asked for, delaying critical go-lives. I'm wondering if this is a symptom of increased regulatory pressure across the board, or perhaps just a lack of streamlined internal processes at these newer firms.
