Onboarding Friction with New PSPs

asked by u/suzuki_yan · 6d · 3 answers

Anyone else finding the KYB process with newer payment service providers increasingly cumbersome for multi-jurisdictional setups, even for relatively standard operational structures? The back-and-forth on documentation feels like it's dragging out. Wondering if there are specific regions or company types that are proving particularly problematic for others in this regard.

Definitely seeing that too. We've had the most headaches with anything touching LatAm or certain APAC regions; the level of granular detail they're asking for on UBOs and operational flows is unprecedented. It's not just the new PSPs, some of the older ones are tightening up too.

It's not just you. We're seeing the same, especially when integrating with providers that are newer to certain compliance frameworks. The worst offenders seem to be anywhere with a patchwork of local regulations that don't quite align with broader EU or US standards.

Absolutely, the multi-jurisdictional aspect seems to be where things hit a wall. Are you finding it's more about the quantity of documents, or the granularity and specifics they're requesting for each entity?
