On/off-ramp friction: is anyone actually seeing traction?

Been following the stablecoin payment space for a while now, and while the tech sounds great on paper – instant settlement, low fees, etc. – I'm still not seeing mass adoption for actual merchant payments beyond the crypto-native crowd. Seems like the on/off-ramp friction for the average Joe is still a massive hurdle, and frankly, some fintechs are just slapping 'stablecoin payments' on their offerings without truly solving the UX. Anyone out there actually seeing a significant uptick in real-world use for this, or are we still in the 'early adopter' purgatory?

I tend to agree. The KYC/AML requirements alone for most fiat on-ramps create significant friction, often negating the speed benefits of the stablecoin itself. Until that's streamlined or abstracted away for the end-user, it'll remain niche for general merchant payments.
