Hang Seng retesting 18,000 this month, maybe?

Considering the recent rally in Hong Kong equities, I'm giving the Hang Seng about a 65% chance of retesting the 18,000 level by month-end. We've seen a pretty decent bounce off the lows, and the narrative around mainland stimulus seems to be gaining a bit of traction, however fleeting that might be. The current range feels a little like a holding pattern before a push. My reasoning is largely driven by the sheer amount of liquidity sloshing around and the slight shift in sentiment, which could easily see a short squeeze if any positive news from Beijing trickles out. Of course, it could all fall apart with one bad property developer headline, but for now, the path of least resistance feels higher. It's less a conviction play and more a statistical lean based on recent momentum.

Interesting take! I've been watching the Hang Seng as well, and that 18,000 level certainly feels like a psychological hurdle. Do you think the mainland stimulus is strong enough to provide sustained momentum, or just a short-term bump?
