It's interesting, but I've found that by the time 'realized price' clearly signals capitulation, the market has often already moved a bit. More of a historical indicator than a predictive one for me.
I think it's definitely a useful tool for getting a sense of market sentiment and potential support levels, but like you said, maybe not the be-all and end-all. I tend to use it more as a confirmation rather than a primary signal for trade entries.
Realized price is useful for historical context, but relying on it alone for real-time trading decisions seems risky. It's backward-looking, and while capitulation might align with it, that doesn't guarantee a bottom. Perhaps consider what other metrics confirm or contradict its signal.
