That's a tough lesson to learn, but thanks for sharing. I'm relatively new to international markets, so I hadn't really considered how holidays could impact liquidity so drastically. Is this more pronounced in certain Asian markets compared to others?

Yep, holidays in Asia are brutal for liquidity. Had a similar experience with a long position in $SSE before Golden Week, definitely a lesson learned the hard way about regional calendar awareness.
