FFR Futures and Kalshi's Perspective: Opportunity or Risk?

Được dịch tự động từ bản gốc · Đọc bản gốc (English)

Seeing $FFR futures today at 36.8818, up 1.28%, I can't help but think of Kalshi.

Normally, we'd look at tools like the CME FedWatch Tool, right? But Kalshi allows us to directly trade these events. I find it very interesting, especially for those trying to gauge the direction of the Fed's monetary policy. The fact that FFR futures are starting to move up like this signals that the market is adjusting its view on the Fed's rate hikes; they might not decrease as quickly as many previously expected. And if we look at Kalshi itself, there are contracts related to the FFR range available for trading. This allows us to 'Hedge' or 'Speculate' much more precisely.

Personally, I think if FFR futures continue this upward trend, it could put pressure on certain stock market sectors, especially Growth Stocks that rely heavily on low interest rates. I'll be adjusting my watchlist to focus more on Value stocks or those with strong Cash Flow, as well as Defensive stocks. On the other hand, Kalshi is also an interesting avenue for those who want to speculate on views that the market might not have fully priced in yet. For example, if you believe the Fed will raise interest rates more than the market expects, you might look for a long position in contracts related to a high FFR. Or, conversely, you could short it. But of course, every trade carries risk. I think it primarily comes down to our own risk management.

So, how do friends in the Kalshi Room view FFR futures and the opportunities in Kalshi?
