KWEB - Watching this 28.175 level today

Been keeping an eye on KWEB today, and that 28.175 level it touched feels pretty important. It's the low from earlier, and if we start closing below that consistently, I'd say the short-term picture looks a bit weaker. Could be a decent support test, but if it breaks, the next stop could be a bit lower, maybe towards the 27.50 area. For now, just watching how it reacts around this point.

The FOMC minutes and a lesson in patience

I still remember the afternoon the FOMC minutes dropped, and I had a decent long position in $EURUSD. My thesis was sound, based on prior inflation data and projections, and I was feeling good about it. The market started reacting even before the exact release, usual pre-FOMC jitters, but then the actual numbers hit and price action got wild. I got spooked. Instead of sticking to my original plan and trusting my analysis, I started to manage the trade actively, moving my stop tighter and tighter, trying to 'protect' profits that weren't really there yet.

Of course, I got stopped out on a whipsaw move, only to see the pair rally hard in the direction of my original bias shortly after. The core lesson wasn't about the direction, which I had right, but about the timing and the discipline to let the market digest the news. My mistake was moving from a strategic mindset to a tactical, almost panicky, one when volatility picked up, effectively trading against my own initial conviction. It's a reminder that sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all, or at least stick to your pre-defined parameters.
