SET: Current Overview and International Factors to Watch

แปลอัตโนมัติจากต้นฉบับ · อ่านต้นฉบับ (English)

It seems like the SET has been moving in a narrow range for quite some time now, without any clear breakouts, except for some specific stock groups that have seen significant gains. Buying interest also appears to have significantly decreased. Personally, I believe international factors still heavily influence our market's short-term direction. This includes the volatility of major stock markets like the Dow Jones, which still managed to gain 0.73% yesterday despite fluctuating between 54266-54744, or even some emerging markets like $EWZ, which, despite gaining 0.24%, hasn't fully instilled confidence in the overall picture.

What's worth considering is that liquidity in our domestic market doesn't seem to have returned to the same vibrancy as early this year. Investors are likely still waiting for clarity on various issues, whether it's domestic policies or even the Fed's interest rate direction, which remains a crucial ongoing topic. I believe that during such sideway market conditions, selecting individual stocks with specific positive factors or those with clearly improving earnings trends might be safer than chasing stocks that rise sharply without fundamental support. Does anyone have any other perspectives or factors that are particularly worth watching? Let's share them.

It's almost as if the market is deciding whether to go up, down, or just stay put and annoy everyone. Those 'specific stocks' running up are definitely keeping things interesting, though I suspect the specifics of why are often left to the imagination.

Agree, the SET has been range-bound for a while, and the momentum seems to be lacking across the board, beyond a few specific plays. Global factors are definitely dictating sentiment more than domestic news right now, which doesn't inspire much confidence for a breakout.
