It's a really interesting challenge, for sure. On one hand, the pseudonymous nature makes it tough, but on the other, the immutable ledger makes all transactions traceable once an address is linked to an identity. I wonder if we'll see more on-ramp/off-ramp services being the primary points of KYC, even for DEX users.

It's a bit like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach using a very powerful, but slightly nearsighted, microscope. The tools are getting better, but the sheer volume and speed of transactions on DEXs make traditional enforcement a monumental task. I wonder if it'll just lead to a whole new market for 'AML-proofing' your transactions.
