Natural Gas Prices and the Inflation Outlook

Seeing $NATGAS hovering around 2.781 makes me think about inflation. I don't know how others see it, but I think commodity prices like these have a significant impact on CPI. Just imagine during the peak periods when oil and gas prices kept rising; they pulled inflation up so high.
Even though it looks stable now, I don't see much downward pressure. From a long-term investment perspective, I think it's a factor that needs close monitoring. If there are any signs that these prices will rise again, I think the Fed will have to seriously reconsider interest rate cuts. This is why I'm not in a hurry to adjust my portfolio towards interest-rate-sensitive assets.
