Lessons from $EURUSD: Don't Let FOMO Take Over

Today, I want to share an unforgettable experience from several years ago. At that time, I was closely monitoring $EURUSD after the ECB's statement. Then, news leaked that there would be a surprise interest rate hike. The market started to move. I saw large green candles and couldn't help but feel FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), so I rushed into buying without waiting for the chart to confirm according to my planned strategy. I thought it would definitely continue to rise. It turned out the rumor was just a rumor. A few minutes later, an official statement was released, refuting it. The price of $EURUSD immediately plummeted as investors sold off. I was heavily impacted. In the end, I had to cut my losses, incurring a much heavier loss than ever before. That lesson taught me that no matter how rushed it is, or how volatile the market may be, adhering to your trading plan and waiting for clear signals as we've set them is the most important thing. Chasing the market with emotions doesn't make you rich; instead, it can easily make you lose money.
