US Equities: Looking at the S&P 500's Reaction to the 4200 Area

Been watching the $SPX pretty closely here, and that 4200 level just keeps acting as a significant pivot. We've seen a few rejections there now, and it's starting to look like a fairly entrenched resistance zone. The volume on some of these pushes into it hasn't been particularly convincing either, which makes me think there's still a lot of sellers waiting to offload positions around that mark.

My thinking is we'll likely see further consolidation or a dip if it can't clear it decisively. A clean break and hold above 4220, maybe 4230, on good volume would invalidate this bearish lean for me. Until then, any push into that overhead resistance feels like a potential short-term fading opportunity, at least for a scalp.

Ah, 4200. The number where gravity suddenly decides to get serious about its job. It's almost as if the market has a collective memory of the last time it tried to break through and ended up face-planting.
