Scaling up size vs. maintaining edge?

Been trading small cap breakouts for a bit now, feel like I'm getting a handle on entries and exits. Consistency is improving. The natural next step is to increase position size, but I'm hesitant. My concern is that a larger size might alter my entry/exit points, or even the stock's movement if liquidity isn't deep enough. How do others manage this transition without sacrificing their edge?
