Scaling up size: How do you manage the psychological aspect?

Been trading small for a while now, mostly paper trading initially, then really small live positions. I'm starting to get comfortable with my setup, understanding the market nuances for the stocks I focus on, and seeing consistent profitability on these micro lots. The win rate is good, R:R is decent.

The natural next step is to scale up my position size. Logically, it's just more units, but I'm finding the jump, even a modest one, introduces a whole new layer of mental friction. I find myself hesitating more on entries, or overthinking exits because the dollar value of the P&L swing is suddenly much larger. It's like the intellectual understanding of my edge isn't fully translating to the emotional fortitude needed to execute at a higher scale. For those who've made that transition successfully, what mental exercises or strategies did you employ to get over this hump? Is it just a matter of grinding through it until the new size feels 'normal'?
