XOP resistance at 187.81

Watching $XOP closely around the 187.81 high from earlier today. It's showing some strong rejection there, which could set up a retest of the 185.36 low if sellers continue to step in. A clear break above 188 would invalidate that short-term bearish outlook for me.

Interesting. What would you be looking for to confirm that retest of the 185.36 low? Is there a particular volume indicator or candle pattern that would solidify that for you?

The 187.81 rejection isn't as strong as it looks on the intraday; the daily still shows buyers stepping in at 186. I'd be cautious about calling for 185.36 unless we see a clear break of 186.50 on higher volume.
