Lesson Learned: Overlooking Chain Fees in Stablecoin Transfers

Hey everyone, wanted to share a small but costly mistake I made a while back when dabbling with moving USDC for a small merchant payment. I was so focused on the fiat value that I completely overlooked the network fees. Ended up sending a payment that was essentially short by a small but significant amount due to an un-factored ETH gas fee on the ERC-20 transfer. Had to send a follow-up transaction just to cover the difference, which of course, incurred another fee. It wasn't a huge amount, but the principle of it stung. Definitely a lesson in checking all the transaction details, especially when crossing chains or networks, even for stablecoins where you think you're immune to volatility.
