The pitfalls of ignoring gas fees on bridging

I learned the hard way that not accounting for gas fees on both sides of a bridge operation, especially when moving smaller sums of stablecoins, can effectively lock up a significant percentage of the capital. Thought I was being clever arbitraging $USDC between chains, but those exit fees quickly ate into any potential profit on the return leg.

Indeed. Many overlook that bridging isn't just a one-way toll. Double-sided gas fees can quickly erode small-cap arbitrage opportunities, turning a seemingly profitable trade into a net loss.
