On-ramp reliability for stablecoin-to-fiat, especially after hours
Starting to look seriously at stablecoins for a small business client wanting to accept crypto, specifically through USDT given their customer base. The settlement part is fairly clear on the crypto side, but what's kept me up is the off-ramp to fiat, particularly for larger sums or outside typical banking hours. I've heard some war stories about delays or even holds when converting $USDT to $USD through certain providers, especially if it's a new or unverified account trying to pull a significant amount of liquidity. My main concern is trying to ensure smooth, predictable cash flow for them. Anyone have direct experience with specific providers for high-volume, reliable stablecoin-to-fiat off-ramps that don't cause headaches when needing to access funds quickly, even if it's a weekend or a holiday?
This is exactly what I've been wondering about! Are the 'war stories' mostly about specific platforms, or is it a general issue with large amounts off-ramping from stablecoins to fiat, especially if it's not a major bank?
