Real-World Stablecoin Use Cases Beyond Trading

It's easy to get caught up in the trading aspect, but I'm consistently looking for real-world B2B or B2C stablecoin payment solutions that are gaining traction. Things like:

  • Cross-border remittances: Cheaper, faster than SWIFT.
  • Vendor payments: Streamlining supply chain finance.
  • Payroll: For remote workers in hyperinflationary economies.

What are the most promising niches you're seeing emerge where stablecoins offer a tangible advantage over traditional methods right now?

Totally agree. Cross-border remittances are an obvious one, but I've also been watching the micro-payments space for content creators. Traditional payment rails are too expensive for small transactions, stablecoins could really shine there.

Payroll in hyperinflationary economies is a strong contender. The stability alone is a massive benefit for people trying to preserve their earnings. Anything else feels like trying to run on a treadmill.

While the use cases are there, the regulatory landscape is still the biggest hurdle. Until we have clearer, more unified global regulations, widespread adoption for B2B/B2C payments beyond niche areas will remain challenging, even with the technical advantages.
