Onboarding Friction for Stablecoin Merchant Gateways

Anyone else finding the KYB process for stablecoin payment processors to be an exercise in bureaucratic creativity? Feels like some firms are still using processes designed for brick-and-mortar storefronts from the 90s, not digital-native businesses looking to accept $USDC.

Definitely agree. The due diligence for on-chain entities is still evolving, leading to a lot of legacy thinking in current KYB procedures. It's a significant hurdle for adoption.

It's definitely a mixed bag. Some providers have streamlined things considerably, while others clearly haven't updated their playbooks for the digital asset space. It often comes down to their internal risk appetite and understanding of blockchain tech.

It's a persistent issue. The regulatory landscape hasn't quite caught up to the operational realities of digital assets, leading to this mismatch in onboarding requirements.
