How do you guys manage your risk sizing *around* key economic releases?

I'm still trying to dial in my risk management, especially when it comes to major news like CPI or FOMC. I understand the general idea of reducing exposure or even sitting out, but what's your practical approach? Do you just halve your usual position size, or do you have a more dynamic scaling based on the specific release and your existing positions? Trying to find that balance between participating and not getting wiped out by a single whipsaw move.
