Onboarding Friction with PSPs and Crypto
Anyone else noticing a significant divergence in onboarding efficiency lately, especially when trying to integrate crypto payment options through various PSPs? We've been looking to expand our accepted payment methods, and while fiat onboarding with established players is relatively streamlined, the hoops we have to jump through for crypto — even for simple stablecoin acceptance — seem disproportionately complex. KYC/KYB requirements often feel like they're designed for banks processing multi-billion dollar transactions, not a straightforward e-commerce merchant.
It's not just the initial setup, but the ongoing compliance checks and the often opaque reasoning for delays or additional documentation requests. This friction definitely impacts the ROI for offering these payment rails, not to mention the opportunity cost. Curious if others are experiencing similar bottlenecks or have found particular setups that genuinely cut down on this administrative drag without compromising on regulatory adherence.
