Onboarding & KYB for new PSPs – still a nightmare or getting better?

Curious if anyone's recently onboarded with a new PSP for $BTC / $ETH processing, particularly for high-volume accounts. The KYB process often feels like pulling teeth, even with all documents in order. Are we seeing any real improvement in efficiency or is it still weeks of back-and-forth?
