Anyone else hitting major spreads on $EURUSD with these new prop firm brokers?
Been with a couple of these prop firms lately, passing their evaluations is one thing, but then the live trading environment is a whole different beast. Not naming names, but the spreads on $EURUSD, especially during certain sessions, are consistently wider than what I'd consider reasonable for scalping or even short-term swing trading. It's eating into profitability pretty hard. Is this just the new normal with these firms' chosen brokerages, or am I just getting unlucky with the ones I'm picking? The execution seems fine, but those spreads make reaching targets a grind. What are you guys seeing out there?
It's almost as if some of these prop firms offer great conditions until you're actually trading with their money. Perhaps they're factoring in the cost of your future yacht into those wider spreads?
