Payout friction with prop firm withdrawal limits

Been looking at different prop firms lately, specifically their payout structures. Some have rather restrictive withdrawal limits, especially in the initial stages. Makes you wonder if it's genuinely about risk management or just trying to keep capital locked in longer. Curious what others' experiences have been regarding this; is it a dealbreaker, or just part of the game?

It's a common observation. They often cite risk management, but the extended capital retention certainly benefits them. Many traders seem to accept it as part of the model, though it does affect compounding.
