Prop firm payout speed and liquidity concerns

Been with a few different prop shops over the years, and one recurring issue I've noticed is the variation in payout speed and, more critically, the underlying liquidity. It's one thing to hit targets, but quite another to reliably withdraw profits without undue delays or, in some cases, seeing spreads widen significantly during large withdrawal requests, suggesting a potential liquidity strain on their end. Curious if others have similar experiences with firms struggling to maintain consistent payout times or showing signs of limited liquidity when larger positions are closed out for withdrawal. What's been your threshold for an acceptable payout period before red flags start appearing?
