Onboarding & KYC for new prop firm accounts - a pain point?

Hey everyone, just curious about people's experiences when getting set up with new prop firms, especially around the whole onboarding and KYC process. I've been looking at a few different options recently, and some seem to have a really smooth, almost instant verification, while others feel like pulling teeth with multiple document requests, delays, and just general friction. Is this something others have noticed, or am I just hitting bad luck? It makes me wonder about the underlying infrastructure and how that might impact other aspects like payout reliability or even execution quality down the line. Any insights on what to look for, or red flags related to a clunky onboarding process would be appreciated.

It's definitely a pain point for some firms. The really quick ones often use more automated checks, but the more rigorous ones usually have legitimate reasons for the extra steps, even if it's frustrating.
