Prop Firm Payouts: Are there hidden fees beyond the published splits?
Been looking into a few new prop firms recently, and while the challenge parameters and profit splits are usually pretty clear, the actual payout process seems to have some grey areas. Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced significant deductions beyond the advertised split, perhaps from the payment processor or for currency conversion, that aren't explicitly mentioned in the firm's terms. It's one thing to account for a standard wire fee, but some reported experiences make me think there might be more to it.
It's always a fun surprise when your 80/20 split magically becomes 75/25 after all the 'administrative' fees are tallied. Definitely something to factor in, as those hidden charges can certainly eat into what you thought was a good payout.
