Onboarding & liquidity for event markets

Been diving deeper into Polymarket lately, and it's got me thinking about the underlying infrastructure for these prediction markets. Specifically, I'm curious about the user experience when it comes to getting capital into these platforms and then back out. The gas fees on Ethereum are what they are, but beyond that, the whole KYC/onboarding process can sometimes feel like a real hurdle.

What are people's experiences with the friction involved? Are there any standout platforms, not just Polymarket but any similar event-driven market, that have really streamlined this? And on the flip side, what about liquidity, especially for the less-mainstream markets? It's one thing to get your funds in, but if you can't easily exit a position without significant slippage or waiting for an eternity, it kind of defeats the purpose. Just looking to compare notes on what folks have found to be the smoothest or most challenging aspects here.
