How do you all handle Polymarket positions for longer-term events without burning out?
Hey everyone, still pretty new to the Polymarket space, mostly been dabbling in the shorter-term events like election outcomes or immediate crypto price swings ($BTC $ETH). I'm finding a rhythm with those, journaling my entries and exits, and it feels manageable.
But I'm looking at some of the longer-dated markets, like 'Will X politician be re-elected in 2028?' or 'Will Y company hit Z valuation by 2026?'. These are fascinating, but the idea of tying up capital for literal years, potentially through multiple market cycles, and having to constantly check in on news flow that might affect the odds feels like a different beast entirely. It's not just the capital allocation, but the mental overhead. Do you guys treat these differently? Is there a specific approach to position sizing, or even just how you track them, so they don't become a source of constant low-level anxiety? Trying to figure out how to participate without just setting and forgetting, but also not obsessing daily for years.
For longer-term events, I usually set my position and then pretty much forget about it. Over-monitoring tends to lead to impulsive decisions.
