ASML's recent push: Is 1870 a retest or a new ceiling?
Watching $ASML's activity around the 1870 mark with some interest. It's had a decent run today, pushing up to 1873.685 before settling a bit. For me, the real question is whether this is just a retest of previous resistance or if it's got the juice to establish a new range above it. My concern is if we see it fail to hold above 1870-1875 by end of week, the quick dip back to the 1813 area looks fairly likely. Options pricing on the 1880 calls is looking interesting, reflecting some of this uncertainty.
I'm not placing any bets just yet, but the volume on this recent push will be key. A strong close above current levels might invite more upside, but a rejection could see a quick consolidation. As always, my crystal ball is usually a bit hazy, so I'm keeping my powder dry until there's more clarity.
It's interesting how quickly it moved back after hitting that 1873 level. Do you think the broader market sentiment will play a big role in whether it can break out properly this time, or is it more about company-specific news for ASML?
