KYB requirements for energy futures counterparties

Anyone seeing a significant uptick in the rigor around KYB for new counterparties in energy futures? Seems like some desks are getting audited hard on beneficial ownership and source of funds for smaller entities, even established ones. Feels like the regulatory screws are tightening beyond just the usual AML checks for the big players.

Definitely noticing this too. It feels like what used to be a standard check is now a deep dive, especially for any new smaller firms trying to enter the market. Makes sense given the increased scrutiny on market integrity, but it definitely adds a layer to onboarding.

Definitely noticing it. Feels like the compliance departments had a particularly caffeinated Monday and decided to make everyone else's week a bit more...thorough. Guess it's back to deciphering org charts that look like spiderwebs.
