On the future of physical gold storage vs. digital asset-backed solutions for offshore
I've been contemplating whether the traditional emphasis on physical gold storage in offshore vaults, for wealth preservation and privacy, is becoming somewhat anachronistic. With the increasing sophistication and regulatory clarity around digital assets backed by commodities, like tokenized gold, it feels like we're moving towards a more efficient, liquid, and potentially more secure framework for holding and transferring value offshore. Holding an asset like $X at 54.84, or a tokenized equivalent, provides similar exposure without the logistical overheads. Is the old guard just slow to adapt, or am I missing some critical protective element that only physical gold in a vault can offer?
