BoJ intervention potential for $USDJPY

The $USDJPY pair continues its upward march, currently around 161.67. The Bank of Japan has been vocal. At what level do we anticipate actual intervention? Is it solely about speed, or is there a specific psychological threshold they're defending?

It's definitely not just about speed anymore, although that's always a factor. I think 162-163 feels like a line in the sand for them, especially with the rhetoric ramping up.

I wonder if they'll wait for a push towards 165. The market seems to be testing their resolve and the actual level might be less important than the rate of ascent.
