KYC Automation for Scale vs. Regulatory Scrutiny

Been thinking about the current landscape for automated KYC/KYB solutions. On one hand, the drive for seamless onboarding and reduced operational overhead is pushing for more sophisticated AI-driven tools. On the other, the regulatory environment, particularly post-COVID with increased scrutiny on beneficial ownership and source of funds, seems to demand a level of human oversight and nuanced judgment that purely automated systems might struggle with. Is anyone seeing a clear path to scalable automation without significantly increasing the risk of flagged transactions or, worse, regulatory fines down the line? It feels like we're constantly balancing efficiency with the ever-moving goalposts of compliance.

That's a really interesting point about the tension between automation and increased regulatory scrutiny. Do you think we'll see a split where low-risk onboarding becomes heavily automated, while higher-risk or complex cases always require significant human intervention, or will AI get good enough to flag the nuances effectively?
