SLV breaking 51.00 by month-end: A look at the probabilities

Watching $SLV today, it's hovering around 50.78 with a high of 50.82. The question in my mind, for those trading Kalshi contracts on this, is the probability of a sustained break above 51.00 by the close of the month. We've seen some good momentum lately, certainly, but resistance around 51.00-51.20 has been fairly robust on previous runs.

Considering the current daily range and the overall market sentiment, which seems to be pricing in some further inflationary pressure but also potential hawkish pivots, I'd put the odds of $SLV closing above 51.00 by month-end at roughly 40%. There's enough upward pressure to keep it in the conversation, but I don't see a significant catalyst in the immediate pipeline that would definitively push it through that level and hold it there without a retracement. A move above 51.00 followed by a quick rejection is more likely than a solid close above it, in my estimation.

I've been watching that 51.00 level closely as well. While the momentum is there, the historical resistance around 51.10-51.20 makes me a bit cautious about a sustained break by month-end. What are your thoughts on the macro factors that could give it that extra push?

While there's been some upward movement, that 51.00 mark has been a ceiling for a reason. I'm not seeing enough to suggest it's a sure thing for a sustained break, especially with the month-end closing in.

It's an interesting thought, but 51.00 has been a consistent wall for SLV. Momentum or not, that level has held firm. What's changed fundamentally to suggest it'll break this time?
