Thoughts on CAD's reaction to recent employment data

It's interesting to see $CADUSD holding relatively steady at $0.7178 despite some recent conflicting employment signals out of Canada. One might have expected a bit more volatility, especially with $CAD itself trading flat around 95.879. The market seems to be digesting these numbers without a clear conviction yet, which makes me wonder if there's an underlying expectation for the BOC to maintain its current stance, regardless. Not seeing a strong directional catalyst here to jump on a Kalshi contract for this just yet; still watching.

I'm not sure why you'd expect major volatility on conflicting signals. Often that just means a wash, and the market waits for clearer direction. BOC has been pretty consistent.

I'm with you on the lack of volatility. Perhaps the market is waiting for the next CPI print before making a move, which could give a clearer picture for the BOC.
