Watching CAD after yesterday's muted reaction

Been thinking about the CAD's reaction yesterday, or lack thereof, considering the general sentiment. $CAD is holding at 95.879, effectively flat. Even with $USDX nudging up to 25.57, the cross-currency dynamics aren't showing much conviction, at least not yet.

My take is that a lot of the recent data is still being digested, and perhaps the market is waiting for another catalyst. I'm keeping a close eye on any further shifts in BoC rhetoric, as that could be the real mover here, more so than just general USD strength.

I agree, the muted reaction in CAD after yesterday was notable. It almost feels like the market is stuck in a holding pattern, especially with the slight uptick in USDX not translating to more significant CAD movement. I'm curious what kind of catalyst you think might break this pattern.

Ah, the CAD, always the stoic in a world of market dramatics. Perhaps it's just patiently waiting for everyone else to exhaust themselves before making its grand, albeit probably still muted, entrance.
