New here, quick question on position sizing for different timeframes

Hey everyone, just joined up. Been trying my hand at futures for a bit, mostly ES and NQ. Something I'm still wrapping my head around is how you guys adjust your position sizing when you shift timeframes. Like, if I'm usually looking at a 1-minute chart for entries and exits, I've got my risk per trade dialed in. But then sometimes I'll see a setup on a 15-minute or even hourly that looks good, but the stop loss naturally becomes much wider. Do you scale down your size dramatically to keep the same dollar risk, or do you have a different risk tolerance for those longer-term plays? Just curious how seasoned traders manage that transition.

For longer timeframes, your stops are generally wider, so you'd reduce your contract size to maintain the same dollar risk per trade. It's essentially about keeping a consistent risk percentage of your account, regardless of the chart you're viewing.
