Initial Mistake: Chasing EURUSD on News

New here, been lurking a bit. Figured I'd share my dumbest early mistake. Fresh out of paper trading, thought I was hot stuff. NFP report hit, EURUSD shot up like a rocket. My brain said, 'This is it, the breakout!' I went heavy long, no real price action confirmation, just a gut feeling on the momentum. The market, as it tends to do, faded almost immediately. Within minutes, I was down what felt like a month's worth of simulated gains. Learned quickly that chasing a candle after a major news release is usually a recipe for getting chopped up. Better to wait for clarity, or at least a retest of a key level. Paid for that lesson.
