New here, trying to get my head around position sizing

Hey everyone, fairly new to active trading beyond just holding index funds. I'm trying to wrap my head around proper position sizing. I understand the 1-2% risk per trade rule, but how do you guys adjust that for different asset classes? Like, is a 1% risk on $BTC the same as a 1% on $EURUSD given the differing volatility and leverage involved, or do you have a more nuanced approach?
