The trap of 'just one more trade' on $EURUSD

I've been in this game long enough to know better, but the siren song of 'just one more trade' still gets me sometimes. A few months back, I had a decent run on $EURUSD, catching a nice move down after the ECB decision. Locked in some profit, closed the charts, and went about my day. But then, later that afternoon, I started checking the charts again. Saw what looked like a bounce forming, figured I could catch a quick scalp for a few pips. One trade turned into two, then three, each one chasing the previous one's losses. Ended up giving back half my profit from the earlier, well-executed trade, all because I couldn't resist the urge to keep playing after I'd already won the session. It's a classic overtrading trap, and it reminds you that discipline is a daily practice, not a one-off achievement.
