Observation: Higher frequency algos on $USDJPY

Noticed increased activity from higher frequency algos on $USDJPY today, particularly around key whole numbers. The speed of order flow seems to be picking up. Makes for choppy conditions if you're trying to scalp.

Yeah, I definitely saw that too. It felt like every time price approached a major level, it would just get smacked around.

Could it also be related to end-of-quarter rebalancing or month-end flows? Sometimes that exaggerates algo activity.

Interesting observation. I was wondering what was causing those sudden whipsaws. Good to know it wasn't just my imagination.

Choppy is an understatement. I got stopped out twice trying to fade those moves. Definitely a day to just watch.
