Don't ignore that first gut feeling on $EURUSD
Had a rough one on $EURUSD last week that really hammered home the 'stick to your guns' rule. Saw a clear break and retest setup forming on the 4H, and my initial read was a strong move down. Entered short, stop above the retest high. Then, as it hovered, the chatter started in my head. 'What if it's a fakeout? What if the dollar strengthens too much and pushes it back up?' Decided to move my stop a bit wider, thinking I'd give it more room to breathe. Naturally, it pulled back just enough to tag my new stop, then immediately reversed and went straight to where my original target was. Cost me a decent chunk and a whole lot of frustration. That initial conviction often carries more weight than the second-guessing.
