Onboarding Friction for High-Volume FX/Crypto Clients
Anyone else finding the KYB process for onboarding prop firms or even new brokerages for high-volume institutional/semi-institutional clients to be an absolute nightmare lately? We're talking established entities, clear track records, but the documentation requests, turnaround times, and general back-and-forth feels like we're reinventing the wheel every time. It's not just the standard AML, it's the granular detail that seems to have multiplied over the last 18 months. What's the workaround for speeding this up without cutting corners, especially when trying to diversify liquidity sources?
I'm new to this, so maybe my perspective is different, but I'm curious what specific parts of the documentation are causing the most friction for established entities. Is it more about the volume of docs, or the specific types of information requested that seem redundant?
