Onboarding Friction for High-Volume Client Payouts
Hey everyone, wanted to throw something out there regarding scaling payout operations, particularly for platforms dealing with high-volume, global clients. We're currently reviewing our PSP stack, and while many solutions handle typical retail volumes fine, we've hit a bit of a wall with a segment of our clients who are essentially prop firms themselves, moving significant daily capital. The KYB process for these entities often feels like it's designed for a corner shop rather than a sophisticated financial operation. We're seeing endless back-and-forth on source of funds, beneficial ownership that goes three layers deep, and an overall sluggishness that impacts our operational efficiency and, frankly, our client experience. It's not just the initial onboarding, but ongoing monitoring often feels similarly clunky.
Are others experiencing similar growing pains? What strategies or types of PSPs have you found most effective in streamlining KYB and ongoing compliance for these higher-tier, enterprise-level clients, without compromising on regulatory adherence? We're trying to balance robust compliance with a smooth, scalable workflow and it feels like many providers haven't quite cracked that nut for the fintech space, especially when dealing with entities that are themselves regulated or have complex corporate structures. Any insights or war stories would be appreciated.
