DAX, FTSE, and the 'Strength' Narrative

Anyone else finding the current European equity 'resilience' narrative a bit thin when you scratch beneath the surface? We see $EWZ at $36.09, down nearly a percent, and yet there's still this underlying current of optimism about broader European markets.

It feels like a lot of the 'strength' is based on a few sectors, and if those wobble, the whole thing comes unglued quicker than a cheap suit. I'm just not seeing the deep, fundamental reasons for sustained bullishness across the board when global headwinds are still very much a thing. Am I missing something crucial here, or is it just wishful thinking getting spun as fact?

That's an interesting point about the concentrated strength. I've been wondering how much of the 'resilience' is just momentum from big caps and if the mid-cap performance tells a different story. Do you think there's a specific sector propping things up more than others right now?

I agree that the 'resilience' narrative for European equities often overlooks the concentration risk within certain sectors. It makes me wonder if we're seeing more of a rotation within Europe rather than broad-based strength.

That's an interesting point about the concentrated strength. I've been wondering if the 'resilience' is more about the big multi-nationals in those indexes holding things up, rather than broader economic health within the EU. Are there any particular sectors you're seeing this concentration in?
