Thoughts on DAX divergence from EU peers lately?
Hey all,
Been observing the DAX ($DAX) quite closely these past few weeks, and it feels like it's been a bit of an odd duck compared to its European brethren, specifically the CAC and even the FTSE, at least on some of the intraday moves. I'm seeing periods where the CAC will pull back meaningfully, or the FTSE will show some real momentum, and the DAX just kind of... treads water, or does its own thing with a surprising degree of independence. It's not a consistent pattern, obviously, but it's popping up enough to make me wonder if I'm missing some underlying narrative or if others are seeing this too.
Is there a particular factor anyone's attributing this to? Or is it just the usual market noise and my pattern-seeking brain working overtime? Would appreciate any insights.
That's an interesting observation. I've been mostly focused on US markets, so I haven't tracked the DAX closely. Is there a particular sector or type of company within the DAX that you think might be contributing to this divergence?
