Is China Tech a Value Trap or a Phoenix?
Been watching $KWEB, currently at 28.66. On one hand, you could argue a lot of the bad news is priced in, and it's trading at valuations we haven't seen in years. On the other hand, the regulatory overhang is a real and persistent threat that just doesn't seem to quit. Are we buying value here, or just catching a falling knife because it feels cheap? Push back if you think I'm missing something obvious.
It's a tough one because the regulatory aspect isn't purely economic; it's a political risk that's hard to quantify with traditional valuation metrics. Even if the numbers look cheap, that political wildcard keeps a lot of institutional money on the sidelines, which caps upside.
